The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra goes pop this weekend, with two over-the-top concerts.
Friday, James Delisco steps into the moon-walking shoes of Michael Jackson for a no-holds-barred tribute to the King of Pop. To portray Jackson convincingly sounds impossible, but Delisco has done it before, to great acclaim, in Kleinhans Music Hall, where the crowd screamed its approval. Martin Herman conducts the show, which promises to be rich in lighting effects and other hallmarks of authenticity. This “BPO Rocks” production takes place at 8 p.m. Friday. Admission is $44.50-$80.50.
