1996 Ford explorer 5.0, .030 over, Keith black pistons, rebuilt GT40Ps with bowl work and Trick Flow spring kit, HO cam installed straight up (measured and degreed; early SD HO grind), 1.7 FRPP roller rockers, Edelbrock RPM air gap, Holley 600 DP, FRPP ceramic shorty headers, new 2.5" mandrel bent header back exhaust, with Flowmaster Super 10s. New gas tank, stainless -8 line, Holley mechanical pump. Electric fans, 4 row brass radiator, MSD pro billet/ 6AL.
New AOD, 3200 stall dirty dog non-lock up converter, Silver Fox automatic valve body with electric OD, Redline clutches, B&M deep (+3 qt) finned pan, braided AN lines, with large stacked plate transmission cooler.
Rebuilt 8.8 with FRPP 3.73s, fresh "8 clutch" trak lok.
The body has been off the frame, and all bushings have been replaced with ES urethane bushings. Suspension as well. Car has brakes from an '02 police car (P71) up front, steering box from an '02 police car (P71), big sway bars, 900 in/lb front springs, 225 in/ lb rear springs. Upper control arms are '02 P71, as well. Has rear disk brake conversion. Hawk Pads. Battery is in the trunk.
Entire undercarriage has been detailed, and the body has been painted BMW alpine white. Body and paint are very nice but not perfect has a few very small imperfections, Vinyl top removed, and converted to 'slicktop'. NOS front bumper, headlight doors, corner lenses, grille. All original panels no rust car...
Interior is near perfect, factory blue. Bucket seats, police (140 mph) speedometer, and matching autometer gauges. Car runs and drives flawless super dependable and very quick tame and easy on gas until you leg it...Well thought out extremely well executed build end result is a very rare super quick excellent handling and stopping automobile that can be driven anywhere while never seeing another...I have receipts of over 25k no labor included...
